OVERVIEW
HOPE International (HOPE) is a global, faith-based, non-profit organization focused
on poverty alleviation through microenterprise development. HOPE’s vision
is to enable sustainable economic development that results in significant and
lasting change, temporal and eternal, in the lives of many people living in poverty.

HOUSES FOR HOPE
Building Locally to Give HOPE Globally
Often in the midst of our busy lives, we are asked to give
to the less fortunate. It is not for lack of compassion that we find ourselves
unable to help. Rather, it is often an inability to find the time and energy that
is needed.
The Houses for HOPE program is simple and the rewards immeasurable. HOPE partners
with a homebuilder to build a house, typically a spec-home, and invites the subcontractors
and suppliers to donate or discount labor and materials. Once the house has sold,
profits go to HOPE International which uses 100 percent of the funds to help thousands
of people living in poverty around the world build their own businesses to support
their families.
The Houses for HOPE program makes a big difference at home and abroad. Hundreds
of families work their way out of poverty and encourage the same entrepreneurial
spirit that homebuilders use in their businesses. Locally, building supporters
are inspired, and subs, and other business associates unite in a great service
project. Participation in Houses for HOPE shows the public a company and its associates
that are of high character and care enough to do something innovative to address
world need.
